FingerSense - The Next Touchscreen Technology
Touchscreens nowadays are limited in that they only know where on the display they've been touched. FingerSense, is a technology that can tell exactly what they've been touched with, such as with your finger, knuckle, fingernail and even other objects, and also difference actions like flick, rub, knock, grasp.
FingerSense use an acoustic sensor and touchscreen that “listens” to the input, the FingerSense software is able to detect actions, it can also tell the difference between materials such as fingernail or difference stylus.
There are many possibilities to do with FingerSense, such as using different stylus for draw or erase, use knuckles to knock on things in a game.
